SAC & ECE Meeting 11/7 & 11/8

11/7 & 11/8 ECE meeting 1:30 to 2:30 room 208

School Age everyone should attend. If you have other assignments during that time skip it and attend the meeting.

Preschool meeting will be in two sessions so everyone can attend. Let your site supervisor know if you need a sub during that time.

Both groups please come with some ideas for field trips. School age winter break & preschool one for November and December.

There will be a new system for taking time off and that will be introduced during the meeting.

Snack, 11/2

Friday for snack will be ice cream sandwiches. I had Denny drop off them only at sites that had freezers available. The rest will be in the Kids' Kitchen freezer.

They have arrived and are in a box in the conference room at Central.

Cooler at Central

It is fixed. If you notice that it stopped working again please let Lisa or I know.

Central Milk Cooler

Just wanted to give you all at Central a heads up...

I spoke with the milk guy today and he will try to come tomorrow (10/24) to replace the cooler, if not it will not be until next Wednesday (10/31). So we will go a couple days without milk at snack. Please throw away items that are in the cooler if spoiled. Thanks

Snacks for Oct 23, Oct 26 & Oct 30

Since I will be gone the next 2 weeks I have pre-ordered snacks

Oct 23 - I have ordered 3 cases of carrots

Oct 26 - 18 boxes of orange wheels

Oct 29 - I ordered 18 boxes of sliced apples. I thought some of you might want to do a fun halloween snack so I also ordered 2 boxes raisins and 2 boxes of yogurt covered raisins. You can take a couple of handfuls of each and let your kids make scary apple faces with them. You might want to buy a little frosting or something so the raisins will stick.

School-age is having sliced apples with carmel sauce after swimming.

Aquila is doing there own thing.

Lenox you already have yours.

Preschool rm 102, 103 & 105 you are having strawberries with cream cheese dip. You each get three containers of strawberries and one container of dip. It is in the milk cooler.


Friday is granola bars.

Winter Break time off requests deadline Nov 1

We already have a bunch of time off requests for winter break. We would like to have any other requests in by Nov 1st. With the winter break requests we like to collect them all and make sure we can balance out the classrooms before we approve them.

Time off requests

The following dates are school release days and early release days. We are asking that staff steer away from asking for these dates off. We have a lot more kids than last year and fewer subs.

We would also like to ask people to try to avoid making doctors appointments on any Friday. Tuesdays Wednesdays and Thursdays would be best as there are not as many people taking vacation days on those days.

Tuesday Oct 9 inservice reminder

Tommy Watson - the man from our back to school workshop will be doing an inservice for us from 1:00-3:00 Tuesday in rm 217. Lisa wants all staff to attend. The site supervisors have obtained subs so that at least some of our preschool/kindergarten staff can attend.

Friday Oct 5 Snack

I ordered 18 boxes of grapes for snack. They are still 5lb boxes but the boxes are smaller than the other fruits because they are more compact.
There is one box of mixed fruit. That is for the toddlers.

Snack for Tuesday Oct 2

We have three cases of Apples. 1 granny smith, 1 red and 1 golden delicious. Also we still have yogurt from Friday. Not may groups took their container. It is in the fridge in the kids kitchen. You can serve it in the 5 oz dixie cups. There are a bunch of cups in the kids kitchen between the sinks in the lower cupboards.
