DHS certification visit schedule

Rodney Francios will be coming to do our annual DHS visit. The schedule is as follows. Thursday, September 22 · 1:30- Central Kids' Place · 2:15- Peter Hobart Elementary Friday, September 23 · 2:15 - Aquila Elementary · 3:00 - Park Spanish Immersion · 3:45 - Susan Lindgren Elementary It is nothing big. He will be meeting with the site leads. Here is what will be happening at your site: When I am at the sites, I will ask the site director to give me a tour of the spaces that the program uses. I will also review the following: · Children's allergy information, medication permission/dosage forms, and immunization records · Medication storage and labeling · Personnel records · New staff persons Orientation Training dates (new=staff hired since programs last review on 10/13/2021) Existing staff persons Yearly In-Service Training dates · Evacuation and shelter in place drill logs · Emergency Preparedness Plan · Risk Reduction Plan · Health and safety policies What all staff need to do is: Review the Emergency Preparedness plan. Review and sign off that you have reviewed the Health and Safety policy and procedures. All staff must review and intial the Risk reduction plan every month. Know which students have allergies and where to find the information Know that you all are a mandatory reporters and that you need to report suspected abuse. Finally after 2 years we are able to do the Kid Place Flea Market 2:00-3:00

Children will bring things from home that they don't want anymore. They will pair up with friends to have a store. Each child will get $5 of play money to spend. As they sell items they will earn more money to spend. We will also give them $1 for every item they bring to donate to STEP.

Children should bring a beach towel or blanket to lay out their items.

I am still hoping we can have it outside. If it is too hot we will be using the gym, media center, theater and music room.

Monday June 27, 2022 Field trip to SLP Rec Center and French Park 

Kindergarten Bus will pick up at 12:20 at door 3. It will stop at Peter Hobart to pick up the 3 Kindergarten students that we are Summer School and continue on to SLP Rec Ctr.

KDGN will leave the Rec Ctr at 4:05. Back at PSI by 4:30.

3-5th grade going to French Park. Load at PSI at 1:15. Wait for Summer school bus to arrive 1:15.  

3-5 grade summer school kids will use the bathroom if needed then load the field trip bus to French Park.

3-5 will be picked up at French Park at 3:15. Should be back at PSI by 3:45

Staff Parking

 Staff should park in the upper parking lot and leave the lower parking lot for the parents.

School Nurse

 We will have a school nurse working with us this Summer. She will be on site on Mondays for 4hrs.

Kids Place Summer 2022 Prep week info

 Welcome Everyone to Summer 2022.

Monday June 13 we will all meet in the cafeteria at Park Spanish Immersion at 9:00 am.

We can not get into the rooms to start setting up until Tuesday, so Monday we will meet our teams and talk about expectations for Summer. Plan on Being there until at least 3:00. 

Tuesday-Friday We will all check in officially at 9:00am. All contracted employees will work their contracted hours. All casual employees plan on working your Summer hours. We may let you go early if everything gets done. You will be setting up your rooms and we will need help setting up the breakout rooms. Do not leave without checking in with Vicky or her designated assistant.
