Como Zoo update

Como Zoo is tomorrow!

Here are just a few reminders.
All staff should wear their orange T-Shirts. If you do not have one check in rm 208 or in the office.

This field trip is not like Roller Garden. There will be a lot of other people at the park we need you to be alert and watching out, talking to, riding with our kids.

We are allowing the children to chose a partner and travel around the amusement park with that partner as they want instead of having to stay in groups with a teacher.

We will have one staff from each room standing at an exit to ensure that the children stay in the park.
The assignments are as follows:

Rm 112 and Rm 210 You are in charge of the main exit on Midway parkway. You are also in charge of supervising that bathroom.

Rm 209 & 217 You are in charge of the the exit that is by the ticket booth going into the zoo. The one by the gorilla exhibit. And supervising the bathrooms there.

Rm 221 & 223 You are in charge of the 3rd exit. The one that is closer to the bumper

cars.

You need to have a staff person at this location no later than 12:00

You may want to rotate staff from your room so that it is not the same person standing there the whole 3 hours.

The other 18 staff should spread out around the park and go on rides with children that are to young or too short to go on certain rides. Bumper cars the children need to be seven years old to drive otherwise they need an adult to go with them so look for kindergarteners that need your help there. The roller coaster and a couple of others let the short kids ride if they have an adult.

There are only 16 rides at the park so we should be able to cover the park easily with the amount of staff we have going.

I will meet you at Como. I have plastic cups in my car and a couple of pitchers. Please bring some kind of marker to mark the children's cups. I only have enough cups for 1 per student. Or have them bring their water bottles. Last year the drinking fountains were broken. The vendors will give us water for free but not containers.

I think that is it. The weather report says cloudy and 52 to start with but clearing with a high of 72. No rain. Hopefully they are correct.
